Greenfield Pets Animal Rescue is foster based and centrally located in New York State within Cortland County. Since the rescue organization does not have a brick and mortar location yet, all adoptable animals are in foster homes within central NY. Once your adoption application is approved, the exact meeting address will be confirmed with the animal's foster home.
Absolutely! After meeting an adoptable pet if the meet and greet went well, your new pet is ready to go home with you that day. The adoption fee can be paid by cash, check or credit/ debit card after the successful meet-and-greet. Please note that all card payments need to be processed through the website. We do not have a card payment processing system other than the website.
Bringing treats is always welcome! You could bring a collar and leash to the meet and greet if you would like and plan to adopt that day. For equines, they will be provided with a new halter, a lead and a bale of their hay to allow for adequate transitioning to another hay type.
All adopted animals will receive a packet of all of their health records. In addition to this, a donation receipt will be provided to the adopter after paying the adoption fee. If requested, a bag of food can also be provided.
