-
How are Adoption Fees Determined?
It is important to note, all adoption fees are applied to the animals feed, care and rescuing since this is a nonprofit, volunteer-based rescue organization. Adoption fees reflect only a portion of the costs it takes to rescue and rehabilitate an animal back to a healthy condition. Thankfully for public donations, we are able to operate and offer every animal.
-
Do you offer a Senior Discount?
Yes! We have a Seniors for Seniors program that offers senior animals to senior adopters for a reduced adoption fee. The adoption fee is reduced by half. Please reference the Seniors for Seniors adoption fees listed below.
-
Where do the Adoptable Animals come from?
Greenfield Pets Animal Rescue's main focus is to save animals from high-risk shelter organizations. Many of our animals come from southern shelters and are transported here to allow for better chances of finding a good home.
Since every equine here at Greenfield Pets Animal Rescue was saved from the horse slaughter pipeline, it is our mission to ensure they never go back to these horrific conditions again. The adoption contract discloses our zero tolerance for any animal from our organization being sent to an equine auction facility. Even though full ownership is transferred to the adopter at time of adoption, the adopter agrees to not send the adopted equine back to an equine auction to ensure it does not enter the slaughter pipeline again.

I need to Rehome my Pet. Can Greenfield Pets help?
